Maryland-Based Printer Known for Its Cutting-Edge Technology Makes Plans to Install the Truepress JET 560HDX from SCREEN

SCREEN Americas announces the commitment from MOSAIC of Cheverly, Maryland, to invest in the Truepress JET 560HDX. MOSAIC is a full-service company offering creative and marketing services, printing services, mailing and fulfillment, and promotional products. It currently operates the Truepress JET 520HD+.

Known for its cutting-edge technology, MOSAIC’s arsenal of printing equipment includes roll-to-saddle-stitched, roll-to-folded, and roll-to-cut-sheet devices, traditional cut-sheet digital presses, and multiple offset presses including UV and standard 6-color. Its investment in the roll-to-roll Truepress JET 520HD+ marked a turning point for the company in its direct mail and publishing applications in that it allowed variable capabilities at faster speeds. “Projects that once took weeks to complete are now done in a matter of days,” said Co-CEO Brendan Connors. “The impact that the HD has had on our production was a clear indicator that taking our business to the next level with the Truepress JET 560HDX would be a wise move.”
With its ability to handle up to 120 lb. cover stock, the Truepress JET 560HDX will be designated for the printer’s complex variable operations such as customized direct mail applications and book-of-one production. The press also offers 1,200 x 1,200 dpi capabilities, an expanded color gamut and an innovative drying system. These features, along with SCREEN’s Truepress Ink SC2, will give MOSAIC the opportunity to deliver quality print production at a much faster pace and with substantial per piece cost savings.
The leadership team at MOSAIC finds SCREEN Americas to be a strong player in the industry with excellent engineering, reliable technology and exceptional service. “SCREEN has never let us down,” said Co-CEO Joseph Fontana. “They are an ideal partner to work with; we have complete access to everyone in the company.”
Established in 1948, MOSAIC became a 100 percent employee-owned company in 2018. It is located in a 50,000-square-foot facility in Cheverly and has a 35,000-square-foot fulfillment center in nearby Capitol Heights, Maryland. With more than 90 employees, MOSAIC provides services to a multitude of industries, including creative marketing agencies, membership organizations and corporations.
MOSAIC is expected to replace the Truepress JET 520HD with the Truepress JET 560HDX in 2024. The installation of the new technology will be one of several installations taking place this year.
