The welding and cutting industry is on the move: with USE 2027 – The Ultimate World of Cutting and Welding – Urban Steel Expo, Messe Düsseldorf is establishing an innovative trade fair format that will bring together central future topics, technology trends and international market leaders in a 4-year cycle from 2027. The debut will take place from 20 to 23 April 2027 – online registration is open with immediate effect.
Sparks, precision, high-tech – welding creates connections that go far beyond metals. In a completely new trade fair format USE will bring together decision-makers and business leaders, production managers, employees from manufacturing, universities and professional associations of the welding and cutting industries – from long-established industrial enterprises to technology leaders to specialist vendors to system suppliers and service providers. As a leading international organiser of capital investment and metal-working trade fairs Messe Düsseldorf creates the ideal prerequisites for this with its agile infrastructure and global reach – thinking big and international from the outset.

Focus on digitalisation, AI and robotics
In terms of content USE 2027 will focalise central future topics of industrial production: digitalisation and Industry 4.0, automation and robotics, sustainability and energy efficiency, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Additive Manufacturing and novel materials as well as high-performance laser cutting. This means the event will provide both decision-makers, end users and developers with a highly relevant platform for exchange, impulses and initiating business.

USR – where USE becomes an experience
A special highlight of USE is the integration of Urban Steel Rockstars (USR) – an event format that fuses community and content with live experience. Comprising Masterclasses, interactive formats, and a fresh communication approach USR injects a fresh breeze into the classic trade fair world also reaching out to younger skilled workers and new target groups. “With Urban Steel Rockstars we are making USE the place where expertise, brands, people and emotions come together.
